There has been alot of interest in the origonal Early Openwavers LinkedIn group. I’ve noticed that there are 3 distinct differences in backgrounds and interests among our former colleagues, so I’ve now setup 3 different groups:
Early Openwavers: intended for people that worked at Openwave in the 2000-2003 timeframe. The Phone.com and Software.com merger was formally announced August 2000 and finalized that same November. There were over 2,500 employees, Don Listwin was CEO and just about every estaff member had their own Gulfstream.

Startup Openwavers: folks that were part of the various startups that formed Openwave, including the original Unwired Planet and Software.com as well as later acquisitions like Solomio, Cilys and WiderWeb:
@Motion, @mobile, Accordance, APiON, Avogadro, bCandid, Cilys, Ellipsus, Libris / Unwired Planet, Magic4, Musiwave, MyAble, onebox.com, Paragon, Personity, Phone.com, Signalsoft, Software.com, Solomio, Telarc, Webedge, Widerweb

Long Term Openwavers: People that were at Openwave or its predecessors for 5 years or more, regardless of when they were there or if they were from one of the startups companies.

The groups aren’t mutually exclusive of course, so feel free to join whichever ones you think fit your background and interests
